August 2010 Janine is nominated for a Barrymore Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical for her role as Nancy in “Oliver!” (Performed the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia, PA).  The Barrymore Awards are a nationally recognized symbol of excellence for theatre in the Greater Philadelphia region.   The Awards Ceremony will be held on October 4, 2010.

August 2010  Janine makes her Broadway National Tour debut playing Elizabeth in Mel Brooks’  “Young Frankenstein.”  The show is inspired by and based on the 1974 movie “Young Frankenstein,” in which Madeline Kahn played the role of Elizabeth. On Broadway, Janine’s role was originated by Megan Mullalley with direction by Susan Stroman.  Janine begins rehearsals in LA and opens in Costa Mesa, CA on September 12, 2010.

August 2010 Janine performs the Rodgers and Hammerstein songbook series, in concert, for the Mackinac Island Foundation, at the historic Grand Hotel in Mackinac Island, Michigan.  Opera Tenor, Glenn Seven Allen co-stars.

August 2010 Janine teaches a Master Class in Stone Harbor, NJ as part of Dream And Reach. 

July 2010 Janine performs the WWII Songbook Series with Glenn Seven Allen at Grounds For Sculpture in Hamilton, New Jersey. The song list includes “I’ll Never Smile Again,” “I’ll Be Seeing You,” “Imagination,” and many more.

July 2010 Janine joins the faculty of “Broadway Comes To Denver-” a ten day musical theatre intensive in Denver, Colorado.

July 2010 Janine shoots a commercial for Hana Tea (flower tea that blooms in the water).

June 2010 Janine shoots a commercial for Little Pim (a fun program designed to teach toddlers a second language).

June 2010 Janine shoots a very campy Snuggie commercial (the blanket with sleeves).

March 2010- June 2010 Janine plays the principal role of The Soubrette/Terri in Duke Elington’s “Sophisticated Ladies” choreographed by and starring Maurice Hines at the Arena Stage in Washington DC. The production plays at the historic Lincoln Theatre and is directed by Charles Randolph-Wright.   Janine sings hit Duke Ellington solos such as “Hit Me With A Hot Note and Watch Me Bounce,”  “Squeeze Me,” “Imagine My Frustration,” and “Mood Indigo.” Held over by popular demand, the show has been extended for four weeks and has broken all box office records for Arena Stage making “Sophisticated Ladies” the highest grossing show in Arena Stage history.

April 2010-  After partaking in the reading in November 2009, Janine records the demo of “Foreverman” in NYC; composed by Brett Boles.   Janine plays the role of Fiona.

March 2010 Janine shoots a silly commercial for Trojan.

March 2010 Janine teaches master classes at Theatre Horizon in Norristown, PA as part of Dream & Reach.  Many kids actors from Walnut Street’s OLIVER! attend. 

February 2010 Janine performs in “Light for Haiti,” a benefit at the Canal Room in NYC.  All proceeds go to GHESKIO, which is an organization that establishes refugee camps and field hospitals for thousands of earthquake survivors in Haiti and continues its long-running AIDS care there, as well.  The benefit is hosted by David Alan Grier and Richard Thomas of Broadway’s “Race.”

August- November 2007  Janine joins the cast of pre-broadway “A Tale of Two Cities” written by Jill Santoriello.  The show rehearsed in both NYC and Sarasota, Florida.  The pre-broadway run took place at the Asolo Theatre in Sarasota, Florida and was directed by Michael Donald Edwards and choreographed by Warren Carlyle. Janine served as dance captain and understudied Lucie Manette.

July-August 2005 Janine performs in the regional tour of “Hello, Dolly! Starring Michelle Lee” (directed by Lee Roy Reams and music directed by Michael Horsley).  The show rehearsed and performed at The Kansas City Starlight and then toured to The Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, TN and Bass Hall in Fort Worth, TX.
