About Janine DiVita-Del Bello

Janine DiVita is a multi-faceted artist and entertainment professional who finds inspiration in creativity, collaboration, strategy, and fun.

Born in Charleston, West Virginia and raised in Overland Park, Kansas, Janine found a love of the arts at a young age. Singing, dancing, and acting were her escape, and immersing herself in music and perfecting and studying the technicalities of the craft were a thrill. Creating something out of nothing became a passion that she still carries today.

Her talents led her to the University of Michigan where she honed her skills and academic curiosities as she pursued a degree in Musical Theatre and Communication Studies. She then moved to New York City where she has worked in nearly every aspect of the entertainment industry.

Janine made her Broadway debut as Rizzo in Grease starring opposite American Idol alums Taylor Hicks and Ace Young. She then went on to star in numerous other Broadway and National Touring productions such as Young Frankenstein, If/Then, Finding Neverland, Anything Goes The Mystery of Edwin Drood, and most recently, Jagged Little Pill.

Her versatile, exciting, and expressive voice has garnered her opportunities to perform as a soloist with The Atlanta Symphony, Edmonton Symphony, and Omaha Symphony and she has traveled internationally through Asia with the band “Broadway Rox" and appeared as a special guest on PBS in the Celtic Tenor, Paul Byrom’s holiday special.

In addition to a vibrant and varied career on the stage, Janine has been seen acting on screen as Amy Goldman on The Deuce opposite Golden Globe Nominee, Luke Kirby, and as Sally in Hear My Song opposite Josh Lucas and Dustin Hoffman. Other credits include: The Americans, Elementary, Gravesend, and others.

As a writer, Janine has teamed up with Eric Holmes, long time friend and writer of The Good Fight (CBS), to write “Sisters Before Misters"- a romantic comedy that challenges this traditional genre by exploring the flaws and complications of feminism in the post modernist era. Lea Thompson (Back To The Future) is set to direct.

As a producer, Janine has secured financial interest for several high profile stage and film productions. She also serves as an Entertainment Producer for the USO; working to provide quality entertainment and engagement activities for our service members and their families all over the world.

As a coach and teacher, Janine maintains a small roster of students to whom she provides specialized preparation for college admission auditions and other ongoing auditions. Janine has been invited as a guest instructor at numerous university musical theatre programs where she coaches students on their material and shares insight into the industry.

Additionally, she has led sexual harassment prevention education seminars and workshops for our Military through Empowered Voices. She co-developed and implemented the unique teaching system: Theatrical Prevention Education and has utilized this module to help thousands of US Army Service Members recognize and prevent sexual harassment and assault.

Janine resides in New York City with her husband, Richard Del Bello.
